What Are Disposable Tattoo Products?

Disposable tattoo products are the single-use items that get replaced between every client. They're the hygiene backbone of any professional studio — ink caps, tubes, tips, barrier sleeves, protective film, gloves, razors, bed covers, and sharps disposal. None of these are reusable. Every item is used once, discarded, and replaced with a fresh one before the next client sits down. Cutting corners on disposables is the fastest way to compromise hygiene standards and client safety.

Disposable Tubes & Tips

Disposable tubes and tips replace traditional stainless steel setups that need autoclaving between clients. They're pre-sterilised, single-use, and save significant time on teardown and setup.

Disposable tubes (mags & liners) — Complete tube-and-grip units for standard needle bar setups. Available in mag and liner configurations to match your needle grouping.

Open mag disposable tips — Tips only, for artists who prefer to pair their own grip with a disposable tip. Suited to mag needle configurations.

Round angled disposable tips — Angled tip design for liner work. The angle gives better visibility of the needle entry point during line work.

No autoclaving, no cross-contamination risk, no setup time. Use once and dispose.

Barrier Protection & Sleeves

Every piece of equipment your hands touch during a session needs a barrier between it and the client. Barrier products are the most basic cross-contamination control in a tattoo studio.

Pen sleeves — Disposable covers for tattoo pen machines. Keeps the machine body clean and protected during the session.

Clip cord sleeves — Covers for clip cords running between the machine and power supply. Prevents blood, ink, and contact contamination on cords.

Protective covers — General-purpose disposable covers for equipment, bottles, and surfaces in your immediate work area.

Protective film — Adhesive barrier film for wrapping machines, power supplies, armrests, and any hard surface in the station. Rolls out, sticks down, peels off after the session.

Tattoo protective film — Aftercare barrier film applied to the finished tattoo. Protects the fresh tattoo during the initial healing window.

Ink Caps & Cartridge Holders

Biodegradable ink caps — Single-use caps for holding ink during the session. Made from wheat straw plastic, available in four sizes (small 10mm, medium 13mm, large 15mm, x-large 18mm). Flat base design prevents tipping. The biodegradable material breaks down after disposal — a better option for studios looking to reduce waste.

Cartridge cup holder — Holds cartridge-style ink cups in place during the session. Keeps your ink stable and accessible without the cup sliding around your workspace.

Skin Prep & Hygiene

Gloves (latex) — Standard latex gloves for grip and dexterity during sessions. Change between every break in work or any time you touch something outside your clean field.

Razors — Single-blade disposable razors for prepping the skin before stencil application. We stock two options — a standard single blade and a bulk pack — depending on your studio volume.

Bed sheet covers — Disposable covers for tattoo beds and chairs. Fresh cover for every client, no exceptions.

Sharps bin — For safe disposal of used needles, cartridges, and any sharps. Available in multiple sizes. A legal requirement in any licensed tattoo studio.

Frequently Asked Questions

At minimum: gloves, ink caps, barrier film or protective covers on all equipment, a fresh bed cover, disposable tube or cartridge (depending on your setup), razors for skin prep, and a sharps bin for needle disposal. These are the non-negotiables for every single client.

Every client. No exceptions. All single-use items — ink caps, tubes, tips, gloves, barrier film, bed covers — get discarded after each session and replaced with fresh ones. Reusing disposables compromises hygiene and puts your client and your licence at risk.

Disposable tubes are a complete unit — tube, grip, and tip combined. You install the needle bar and you're ready to work. Disposable tips are the tip only, designed to pair with a separate reusable grip. Tubes are faster to set up; tips give you the option to use your preferred grip while still having a sterile tip for every client.

Yes. Our biodegradable ink caps are made from wheat straw plastic and perform the same as standard caps — stable flat base, consistent sizing, no tipping. The only difference is the material breaks down after disposal. Same function, less waste.

Four sizes: small (10mm) for detail work and single-needle fills, medium (13mm) for general use, large (15mm) for colour packing and larger fills, and x-large (18mm) for heavy colour work or mixing. Most artists keep a mix of sizes on hand.

Barrier film covers flat surfaces and wraps around equipment, but pen sleeves are designed specifically to fit tattoo pen machines. They're faster to apply, provide full coverage of the machine body, and are easier to change between clients than re-wrapping with film. Most artists use both — sleeves on the pen, film on everything else.

Used tattoo needles, used cartridges, any broken glass, razor blades, and anything sharp enough to puncture skin. Sharps bins must be sealed and disposed of through a licensed waste collection service. Never put sharps in general waste — it's a safety hazard and a legal issue.

Match the tube to your needle grouping. Liner tubes fit round liner needles (3RL, 5RL, etc.). Mag tubes fit magnum and curved mag needles. The tube bore needs to accommodate the needle spread without being too loose or too tight — a poor fit affects needle stability and ink flow.
